I didn’t see this coming
Last month, I launched ConsultantCafe, unsure if it would resonate. The response has been humbling. It seems there’s an appetite for learning, tools, & connection in consulting. Thank you for being part of this journey.
Last month I launched consultantcafe.com. When I hit ‘publish,’ I didn’t expect to feel this seen…..I honestly never expected the response I’ve received.
The support, encouragement, and sheer number of free (and even paid!) subscribers has been overwhelming, in the best possible way.
It feels like I may have stumbled onto something that many consultants are looking:
- for a space to keep learning and sharpening their craft,
- to explore ideas and tools that aren’t always easy to find, and
- to grow in ways that don’t always happen inside their firm.
What have I learnt?
- I’ve discovered just how much I don’t know about being a “publisher.” It’s a whole new world for me, but your support has made it fun to figure out as I go.
- I’ve learned that I can’t solve every problem at once. Sometimes I just have to sit with the messy technical bits, even when they bug me, and it appears you don’t seem to mind them as much as I do.
- I’ve been genuinely surprised and deeply grateful to learn that what I have to share resonates with you. Some of you have even chosen to support me as paid subscribers, which is incredibly humbling. This isn’t a pitch (there’s plenty of value in the free content) but please know that your support, in any form, truly means the world to me. 🙏
- And finally, I’ve learned that I really enjoy writing. I know I have plenty to improve, but you’ve welcomed my words with kindness and curiosity.
